Real Madrid are ready to announce the signings of two new players as they look to bring back some stability to the club’s attacking line-up.
The signings are expected to be announced as early as Wednesday.
The news comes after an 11-game losing streak and Madrid’s fourth consecutive home defeat by Juventus.
Real have been without the services of two key players in Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ancelotti, while the likes of Gareth Bale, Cristiano, Kevin De Bruyne and Karim Benzema have been sidelined with injuries.
They will also be without Luka Modric, who missed the win over Bayern Munich due to injury.
Rafael Benitez will lead the charge for the second half of the season with the squad already depleted following the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Angel Di María.
Benitez has made it clear that he wants his squad to be able to play on the front foot for a full 90 minutes, which will be an improvement on the previous campaign.
“The new players will strengthen our squad for the rest of the campaign,” Beniteza said.
“They will be important for us, but I can’t tell you what the final result will be.
I hope it will be a positive experience for everyone.”
Ancelotti has also revealed that he will leave his post at Real Madrid at the end of the 2016-17 season.
“I have no regrets at all.
I can always say that I never gave up, and I will always do everything to improve and help the club,” the Italian said in a statement.”
In this situation I can only say that my desire is always to be a good coach, which is the same for all of us at Real.
I want to stay in Madrid forever.”
